Mitaki-dera

Located in the valley of Mitakiyama in the northwest of Hiroshima City, Mitaki-dera has long been known as Mitaki Kannon. The Tahoto in the precincts was built in the Muromachi period and was transferred from Wakayama to mourn the spirits of the victims of the postwar atomic bomb, and has become an important cultural property of the prefecture.
