Discover Takehara, a historic salt-making town where salt production, dating back to 1650, shaped its rich cultural heritage. Stroll through its well-preserved historic district, featuring elegant merchant houses, sake breweries, and townhouses with intricate latticework and tiled roofs. Visit Former Kasai Residence to learn about traditional salt-making, a craft still practiced by local volunteers.
Enjoy a sake tasting at Fujii Shuzo Sake Brewery, where sake is brewed using the kimoto method, recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Then, take a scenic ferry ride to Osakikamijima Island, home to the History and Maritime Museum and the beautifully preserved Omochizuki Residence.

*Sake tasting is for those aged 20 and over (For those who don’t drink alcohol and for children, the water used in sake making is available.)
*If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform us at least one week in advance. Depending on the restrictions, you may be required to purchase a bento box meal on the day. Thank you for your understanding.
*The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. If you are concerned about motion sickness, please take precautions such as taking motion sickness medication in advance.
*If the ferry is suspended, it will not be possible to travel to Osakikamijima Island. Thank you for your understanding.
*According to the itinerary, lunch will be on Osakikamijima Island. However, due to the restaurant’s popularity, sometimes it isn’t possible to make a reservation. In this case, the time and location may change. Thank you for your understanding.
