Arita Gardening Farm

We grow a variety of vegetables according to the season, including potatoes, cabbage, broccoli, sunny lettuce, carrots, radishes, tomatoes, and eggplants. Among them, the red soil potato "Akitsu Bijin" is the signature crop of Arita Horticultural Farm. Potatoes grown in the red soil of the Akasaki region of Akitsu Town, where they are produced, are rich in minerals such as iron oxide and magnesium, and are characterized by their natural sweetness, smooth texture, and unique fluffy texture compared to regular potatoes. During the harvest season from June to July and in December, we hold a "Potato Digging Championship." In addition to the potato digging experience, there are plenty of events that the whole family can enjoy, such as experience using agricultural machinery such as tractors and potato diggers, free tastings of processed foods made from potatoes, and sales of various agricultural products.
