Welcome to the world of "Mononoke"
Miyoshi-cho, Miyoshi City, where the museum is located, is the setting for Inomono Keroku. Inomono Keroku is a monster story that has been passed down across the country since the Edo period and has been the subject of picture books, picture scrolls, and manga up to the present day. The museum was opened in this historically rich area, with the donation of an enormous collection of approximately 5,000 items from Yumoto Koichi, one of Japan's leading monster collectors.
