Cycling to fully enjoy the nature of Oasa
Oasa, Kitahiroshima Town, located in the northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture, is a town rich in nature with a rural landscape. You will enjoy farm roads and forest roads on a sports-type e-bike. A dedicated guide will explain the course and give a thorough lecture on how to ride an e-bike before starting. We will take you to hidden spots and special places that even locals don't know about. The "Amanoshima hornbeam colony," a nationally designated natural monument, is the only place in the world. Why is the Amanoshima hornbeam, which has been said to be a useless tree, now protected and has become a tourist destination? You will see, hear, touch and learn. And "Tatara ironworking," a local industry that has been carried out throughout the Chugoku region, has been featured in a Ghibli movie. You will actually touch the tamahagane (steel) made by tatara ironworking, and visit the remains related to tatara. For lunch, we will stop at a restaurant on a small hill and enjoy a delicious and healthy "herb lunch" made with home-grown vegetables, herbs, and local ingredients. This is a nature activity tour where you can experience the history that has supported Oasa's industry and tourism while enjoying the unique nature of Oasa with all your senses.
