A small town art museum featuring everything from contemporary art to works by artists with ties to Hiroshima
It opened in 2013 along the Saeki Line (commonly known as Miyauchi Street) near the center of Hatsukaichi City. It is a private art space that was certified as a museum-equivalent facility in 2020. It holds four to six special exhibitions every year, focusing on the exhibition of artworks, where visitors can "see," "listen," and "participate." It also holds exhibitions introducing contemporary art, artists with ties to Hiroshima, and young artists, as well as hands-on exhibitions that children and families can enjoy during the summer vacation period. In addition, it is a place where you can enjoy various art experiences such as talk events and creative workshops. It also houses works by artists with ties to Hiroshima, mainly created in the 1940s to 1980s, works related to Hatsukaichi City and Miyajima, and works by young artists, and also holds collection exhibitions. We aim to be a place where everyone's interests can lead to new curiosity, from adults who love art, to children who want to experience art, and those who are just starting to become interested in art.
