Privacy Policy

The Hiroshima Tourism Association (HIT) (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") has established this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information obtained through the services operated by the Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Service").
The Association complies with this Privacy Policy, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information
, guidelines related to personal information protection, and other applicable laws and regulations concerning personal information protection.

1. Acquisition of Personal Information
The Association acquires personal information using the following methods:
 ・Directly from users, such as when they provide information during Service registration.
 ・Automatically, when users utilize the Service, and information is recorded.
 ・Indirectly, from third parties such as operators of stores or facilities used by users.

2. Personal Information Collected
(1) The Association may acquire the following personal information from users and prospective users of the Service:
 ・Name and address.
 ・Nickname and password.
 ・Behavioral data on the Association’s websites or applications.
 ・Other information explicitly indicated as being collected within the Service.
(2) Except as explicitly stated within the Service, the Association does not collect sensitive personal data such as passport information, health data, or data identifying race through the Service.

3. Purposes of Use of Personal Information
The Association collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
 ・To provide and manage the Service (including identity verification).
 ・To respond to inquiries from users.
 ・To send notifications about new features, updates, campaigns, and other services offered by the Association.
 ・To send notifications about products and services offered by affiliated merchants (hereinafter referred to as "Affiliated Merchants").
 ・To improve the Service and develop new services of the Association.
 ・To contact users for maintenance, critical updates, or other necessary communications.
 ・To prevent fraudulent use of the Service.
 ・To conduct surveys, analyses, and marketing related to the Service and Affiliated Merchants’ services.
 ・For purposes ancillary to the above purposes.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Association will not provide personal information to third parties except as permitted by applicable laws or with the user’s consent. However, the Association may provide aggregated statistical information, which does not identify individuals, to Affiliated Merchants.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information
The Association shall utilize personal information to the extent and period necessary required or permitted by law to achieve the stated purpose. However, users or their representatives may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, cessation of use, or notification of the purposes of use of their personal information in accordance with the Association’s designated procedures and within the limits prescribed by law. For details, please refer to "7. Contact Information for Personal Information Inquiries."
The Association will respond to such requests at a reasonable time based on its operational circumstances. Users will be notified promptly when the Association decides to respond to a request or decline it.
To prevent fraudulent requests, the Association may require users to submit identity verification documents. The Association assumes that requests meeting its verification criteria are genuine, but it is not responsible for damages caused by responding to fraudulent requests such as requests made by third parties who has obtained the user's personal information and identity verification documents unless such damages result from willful misconduct, gross negligence, or a violation of the Consumer Contract Act from the Association. Users are advised to manage their personal information carefully.

6. Voluntary Provision of Personal Information
Providing personal information to the Association is voluntary. However, failure to provide required information may result in the inability to use certain features of the Service.

9. Language
This Privacy Policy is provided to users in Japanese. If the Association provides translations of this Privacy Policy in English or other languages, the Japanese version shall govern the rights and obligations between users and the Association.
