"Fantasy beasts" are unknown, mysterious and somehow intriguing.
Although mythical creatures such as mermaids and kappa do not actually exist, people believe that they do exist, and numerous records of them have been left behind to this day.
This exhibition will display books, nishiki-e and mummies related to mythical beasts from the museum's collection. In addition, we will feature mythical beasts from Hiroshima Prefecture, such as Hibagon and Tsuchinoko.
