The Hiroshima International Architecture Festival 2025 is the first architecture-themed festival to be held in the Setouchi region, and will be held every three years, with the first event being held in 2025 .

The inaugural event will be themed "Connecting - Feeling our 'new future' through 'Architecture' : Architecture: A New Stance for Tomorrow ," and will feature exhibition programs and events centered around the past, present, and future of architecture, set in the Setouchi region, a "hub of architectural culture" where famous buildings that respond to local climates, landscapes, and traditions have been born since ancient times. The event will showcase the charm and culture of architecture that has been passed down through the generations.

We will hold multiple simultaneous architectural exhibition programs and events, mainly in Fukuyama City and Onomichi City.

The Hiroshima International Architecture Festival 2025 will host a special exhibition program featuring architecture that can only be seen and experienced at the festival, including the "Nine Visions: Nine Architects Leaping from Japan to the World" exhibition, which focuses on nine architects who have won the Pritzker Architecture Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of the architectural world; the "Kambara-Tsuneishi Cultural Foundation Architectural Culture Revival Project: A Copy of "Seijo House" - A Reproduction and Preview of Kenzo Tange's Own House" exhibition; and the " NEXT ARCHITECTURE : Connecting a 'New Future' through Architecture" exhibition, which considers the architecture of the future by focusing on the "perspectives" of five contemporary architects who will lead the architectural world in the future .
