Sake Festival 2025

The Sake Festival is a combination of the Minna no Matsuri, which began in 1979 (Showa 54), and the Saijo Sake Festival, which has been held by the Saijo Sake Brewers Association since around 1972 (Showa 47).

There will be a lot of fun events happening all over town, including a singing and dancing stage at the main venue, sake tastings at the sake plaza, limited edition sake sales from sake breweries, and a fine sake hotpot venue! Locals and visitors will come together to have a blast!

Time: Saturday, October 11th, 10:00-19:00 (However, Sakagura Street is open from 10:00-17:00) Sunday, October 12th, 10:00-17:00

Event content: ★ Sake Plaza (West side of Saijo Central Park/ Fee required) A large tasting venue where sake from all over Japan is gathered together

★ Bishu Nabe Venue (Giwai Hiroba Parking Lot in front of Saijo Station/paid) Enjoy Hiroshima's specialty dish, Bishu Nabe!

★ Sake brewery events (each sake brewery) For details of each brewery's events, please visit the Sake Matsuri.com website or each sake brewery's website.

★ Main Venue (East side of Saijo Central Park) Live performances by special guests, ceremonies, and events featuring general performers will be held! Special products from Hiroshima City will be sold at the venue, and you can enjoy food and drinks in the rest area.

★ Cultural exchange venue (Hiroshima Arts and Culture Hall Kurara) There will be a Japanese culture presentation by elementary and junior high school students from the city, a panel exhibition by the National Research Institute of Brewing, and a tea ceremony.

★ Wakuwaku Kids Square (Hiroshima City Hall Parking Lot) A large gathering of booths with content that children can enjoy

★ Corporate PR booth (Hiroshima City Hall parking lot)

★ Satake Venue (Satake Hiroshima Headquarters Crystal Building / Advance reservation required)

Saijo Town, Hiroshima City

For those arriving by train, the Sake Festival venue is a one-minute walk from the south exit of JR Sanyo Main Line's Saijo Station. It takes approximately 40 minutes by local train from Hiroshima Station and approximately 40 minutes by local train from Mihara Station. For those arriving by car, the area around JR Saijo Station will be the venue for the Sake Festival, and the area will be very crowded. Please use the temporary parking lot designated for the festival. [Location] Hiroshima North No. 3 Parking Lot... Approximately 3km south of National Route 2 Saijo Bypass, along the Boulevard toward Hiroshima. [Temporary parking lot available] October 11th (Sat) 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, October 12th (Sun) 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM [Parking fee (per day)] 1,000 yen. A free shuttle bus runs from the temporary parking lot to the Sake Festival venue approximately every 15 minutes. Please check the official website for the timetable. For those coming by Shinkansen: From JR Sanyo Shinkansen Line Hiroshima Station(only Kodama trains stop), take a bus bound for Saijo or a taxi for approximately 20 minutes. For those coming by plane: From Hiroshima, take a limousine bus for approximately 25 minutes to Saijo Station on the JR Sanyo Main Line.
