Collection Exhibition 2025 -II [Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art]

The theme of this exhibition is "everyday life," and each room will feature a variety of works from a different perspective, allowing visitors to become familiar with the unique characteristics of the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art collection.
This exhibition will explore the social and historical structures that surround our daily lives by focusing on works that capture familiar people and landscapes, as well as the artist's techniques for incorporating materials and motifs from everyday life.
The four rooms are based on the keywords "Rediscovering the Everyday," "Between Life and Death," "Hiroshima," and "Manifestations of the Extraordinary," and explore various aspects of "everyday life" in the modern world from multiple perspectives, along with selected works of art.
Furthermore, the exhibition will not be limited to the collection, but will also include special exhibits that take into account the collection policy and works of the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as the local characteristics of Hiroshima.
In addition, we will also be showcasing new acquisitions in recent years, including works by Mona Hatoum, winner of the 10th Hiroshima Art Prize.
