Pop Art, which spread mainly in the United States in the 1960s, incorporated common images from our daily lives, such as photojournalism, commercial advertisements, and mass-produced product packaging, into art, sometimes expressing them in vivid colors and with a social satire.

This exhibition, inspired by the nickname "The Fabulous Four" (FAB 4), a British band that enjoyed a period of prominence, focuses on four of America's most iconic pop artists: Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997), Andy Warhol (1928-1987), Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), and Jasper Johns (1930-). The exhibition also features contemporaries Robert Indiana, James Rosenquist, Tom Wesselmann, and Jim Dine. During turbulent times marked by war and social issues, these artists transformed the face of art and society through their involvement with popular culture and rock music.

All of the works on display are from the collection of Spanish collector José Luis Rupelez, and will be on display in Japan for the first time. Come and experience the world of pop art, which continues to fascinate people today, with approximately 120 prints, posters, and clothing.
