April 8th is the Buddha's birthday.
For the next week, "BUTSUDAN-DORI" will be bustling with a fun festival.
During the day, participants can experience the traditional craft of making "Hiroshima Buddhist altars" and pour sweet tea over a flower-decorated shrine.
In the evenings, you can enjoy delicious food, fine drinks, street performances, and parades.
This is the "Hiroshima Buddhist Altar Street Festival - Flower Festival".


[Flower Festival]

April 8th is Buddha's birthday, also known as Hanamatsuri (Flower Festival).
Let's celebrate by pouring sweet tea over the statues of the infant Buddha located in the two Buddhist altar shops on Butsudan Street.

This tour takes you to a Buddhist altar shop on Butsudan Street and includes an opportunity to experience gold leaf application and learn about Buddhist altars.

The Buddha's Parade will parade down Butsudan Street accompanied by the beautiful sounds of Gagaku (Japanese court music).
Birthday Talk & Music will be held at Tokuei-ji Temple on Butsudan-dori, featuring a talk and performance of Gagaku (Japanese court music). ●Participation fee: Free ●Location and departure point: Rex MB (1-14 Hiroshima City -cho, Naka Ward, Hiroshima City)
