A treasure trove of rare animals and plants
Mount Dogo, which forms part of Hiba-Dogo-Taishaku Quasi-National Park and borders Tottori Prefecture, is a treasure trove of rare flora and fauna, including numerous alpine plants. The sights created by nature and man are overwhelming, including Tsukimioka, a grassy open space that spreads across the highlands at an altitude of 1,000m, and the stonework that stretches from Mount Iwahi to the summit of Mount Dogo, reminiscent of the Great Wall of China, reminiscent of the past when it was used for grazing. The relatively gentle slope makes it recommended for families and beginners, and the azaleas in June and Japanese silver grass in autumn are particularly beautiful, creating a fantastic 360-degree panorama.
