A spectacular view from the summit overlooking the Seto Inland Sea! A scenic spot decorated with approximately 1,200 cherry blossom trees in spring

This park is located on a mountaintop about 200 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the cityscape of eastern Kure City and the Seto Inland Sea.

Rich in spring, the park is famous for its approximately 1,200 cherry trees, which bloom in full glory, drawing crowds of visitors. It's also popular as a night view spot, offering panoramic views of the Aga, Hiro, and Yokoji areas below, as well as the Marino Bridge.

This is also the former site of the Ozorayama Battery, built to protect the naval port of Kure. Constructed by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1903, it served as an anti-aircraft gun base during the war. Remains of the gun emplacements and ammunition storehouse remain in good condition, allowing visitors to experience up close the outstanding civil engineering and construction techniques of the time.

This scenic spot allows visitors to quietly enjoy the tranquil beauty of the archipelago and the changing seasons while feeling the breath of history.
