This two-tiered waterfall was formed as valley head erosion progressed from the Seto Inland Sea toward the Chugoku Mountains at an altitude of 250m. The upper waterfall is 10m high and the lower waterfall is 14m high. Although the amount of water is small, it is rare for such a magnificent waterfall to form in a small river. The large rock stands upright and has few bumps, so the clear water flows down smoothly, creating a rainbow below and sending up spray.
