Within the park, you'll find the Irifuneyama Memorial Hall, which tells the history of Kure, a former naval port town, the stately brick building of the Kure Municipal Museum of Art, and a stone monument bearing a haiku by Masaoka Shiki. The area is Museum Street, which was chosen as one of the "100 Best Roads in Japan," and the contrast between the red brick sidewalks, sculptures and objets d'art, and the natural forest scenery makes it the perfect place for a stroll or a rest.
