A famous temple that was enshrined as a prayer temple for the three families of Mori, Fukushima, and Asano.

Myojuji Temple (named Myojoin) was built by Terumoto Mori as a memorial site for his mother, but Masanori Fukushima attached 200 koku of temple land to it and ordered it to become a temple of prayer. Even in the later Asano period, it was designated as a place of prayer for the protection of the territory, as it was considered the demon gate of the castle. In addition, by enshrining the memorial tablets of the founder Nagamasa and his wife, he was given an additional 200 koku of temple territory. In 1835, the ninth lord of the domain, Naritaka Asano, built Raozu Shrine on the west side of the precincts to enshrine the spirit of the founder, Nagamasa.
