Located in Yuki Town, this gorge is one of the most famous in the Setouchi area! Walk along the 8km route

Located in Yuki-cho, Saeki-ku, Hiroshima City, this is one of the largest gorges on the Seto Inland Sea side. Along the stream, which stretches approximately 8 km from north to south, a unique geological landscape formed by the erosion of granite over many years unfolds. In particular, the towering "Byobu-iwa" (Folding Screen Rock) and "Komori-iwa" (Bat Rock) on the riverbanks reach heights of 30-40 meters, allowing visitors to observe the continuous formation of massive rocks up close. This area is also designated as a natural environment conservation area by Hiroshima Prefecture, and is characterized by its rich ecosystem. The clear stream is home to Amago trout and serves as a breeding ground for various aquatic insects, including the Japanese tree frog and the Kajika frog.

Walking trails are maintained in the surrounding area, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely walks while appreciating the scenery that changes with the seasons, from the fresh greenery of spring to the vibrant autumn foliage. Autumn, in particular, is a famous spot where the contrast between the white rock faces and the red and yellow leaves is striking. It is a representative scenic spot in the Yuki area, offering a tranquil environment for nature observation and forest bathing.
