August 6, 1945, 8:15 a.m. Explanatory version showing the epicenter of the first atomic bomb used in human history

The first atomic bomb in human history was detonated about 600 meters above the ground by the US military B-29 "Enola Gay" which flew from Tinian Island. The area directly below the hypocenter was hit by heat rays of about 3,000 to 4,000 degrees, blast waves and radiation, and most of the people there lost their lives instantly. The time was 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945 (Showa 20).
