From the summit, you can see the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the distant Shikoku Mountains.
This 394m-high mountain was once the training ground for students at the former Naval Academy. From late March to mid-April, the Genkai Azalea, a rare plant in the prefecture, blooms beautifully in pale pink-purple, and the cherry trees planted along the forest roads all bloom at once. The sight is truly spectacular. In spring, many people from outside the island visit to enjoy forest bathing and hiking. From the summit, you can see the calm waves of Etajima Bay below, as well as the countless islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea and the Shikoku Mountains far to the south.
