Corridor-style stone chamber from the first half of the 7th century, a national historic site
It is a huge horizontal hole type stone chamber that is said to have been built in the first half of the 7th century. There are two front and rear chambers, each with a granite sarcophagus. The horizontal hole type stone chamber was popular between the 6th and 7th centuries under the influence of the tomb system developed on the continent, and is common to the Iwayama Kofun in Nara Prefecture, and is thought to have been influenced by Kinai. It is a nationally designated historic site.
