A stump of weeping cherry blossoms that is said to have been hand-planted by Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Also known as the Yoshino of the West, it is famous for its weeping cherry blossoms. It is the Ichinomiya Shrine, the guardian deity of Bingo, where Wake no Kiyomaro's sister, Wake no Hiromushi (Hokkimi-ni), was exiled. Many items are preserved here, including a pair of guardian lion statues that are designated as important cultural properties by the country, as well as old woodblock prints and the Amitabha Sutra. The Yahata River, which lies within the grounds of Mitsuke Hachiman Shrine, has been developed as the Yahata River Natural Park to protect and nurture the rich natural environment, human lives, and cultural heritage.
