The Mohri family crest on the roof of the temple!
The temple was built as a temple of the Tendai sect in 1153, and in the first year of Katei (1235), Shigehei Kobayakawa built the Nembutsu-do and made it a temple. Since then, 20 tombs of Hokyointo (including one designated as a national important cultural property) from the first Mihei to the 17th Takakage have been lined up in an orderly manner at the Kobayakawa family's Bodaiji Temple. In the treasure trove of the temple, there is a statue of Takakage Kobayakawa (important cultural property of the country) by Kinumoto. This statue of Takakage is a statue in a garment that was praised by Zen Master Tamanaka of Obai-in Temple in 1594, a statue of a person who wrote it while he was alive. It is imposing.
