The majestic figure with an altitude of 844m has been popular as a famous peak since ancient times.

At 844m above sea level, the mountain's beautiful, towering form resembles a pyramid. It has long been revered as a sacred mountain, and Hachikokumiyama Daimyojin was enshrined there. Currently, it is managed as a protected forest, and rare plants can be seen. The hiking trails are not all well maintained, and some are steep, so it takes about an hour to reach the peak. That's why the feeling when you reach the peak is amazing, and the view is so spectacular that it seems as if you can see eight provinces, including Bingo, Aki, Izumo, Iwami, and even Shikoku in the distance, as the mountain's name suggests.
