Legendary land surrounded by pure beech forest

Mt. Hiba, which appears in "Kojiki", is said to be "Mt. Hiba" where the goddess Izanami Mikoto, who was born in Japan, was buried. In the center of the round hill at the top of the mountain, which is opened in the beech forest, lies a mossy giant stone that is said to be the tomb of Izanami Mikoto. The area is designated as a historic site in Hiroshima Prefecture as the "Legendary Land of Mt. Hiba". At the top of the mountain of Misasagi, a community of Japanese yew, which is a natural monument designated by Shobara City, is formed. Azumayama, which is located in Shobara City, the same as Mt. Hiba, is also a popular mountain climbing spot.
