It was designated a prefectural natural monument in 1980. The Camellia Festival will be held under the tree by mid-April. (Please contact us for details on the date, time, and content.) *The Camellia Festival has been suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2022, we have been holding Camellia Viewing Events when the camellias are in full bloom.
