This temple was founded in 1753 by the monk Shodo of Hiroshima Kokutai-ji Temple. Famous for its "Kenkotsu monk," this temple's nine generations of unbroken saints were masters of both the arts and martial arts. You can see the large stone hand-washing basin held by the monk, a stone shoulder strap, and a rock-carved Buddha statue on the mountain's hand.
