This unusual landscape, located at the confluence of the Osegawa and Kushimagawa rivers, is a prefectural natural monument. Over a long period, the riverbed has been subjected to complex erosion, creating holes of various sizes. These holes are called "snake-eaten rocks" or "snake-eating rocks" because, according to legend, a giant snake living on Mount Mikura ate them.
