The Setouchi Seven Lucky Gods are enshrined on the five islands along the Shimanami Kaido: Innoshima, Ikuchijima, Omishima, Hakatajima, and Oshima. Innoshima's oldest shrine, Oyama Shrine, enshrines two lucky gods, Daikoku, the god of matchmaking, and Ebisu, the god of commerce, while Taichoin enshrines Benten, the god of wisdom. Ikuchijima's oldest temple, Komyobo, enshrines Bishamonten. Omishima's Kounji Temple enshrines Fukurokuju, Hakatajima's Kannonji Temple enshrines Jurojin, the god of longevity, and Oshima's oldest temple, Koryu-ji Temple enshrines Hotei. This is a course that takes you around temples and shrines with long histories, and you can make the pilgrimage in about a day by car. The Seven Lucky Gods will ward off seven misfortunes and grant you the happiness you desire.
