At an elevation of 187 meters, it is said to be a model mountain castle from the Middle Ages. It is believed that the remains of a temple, a residence, and a stone bath remain in the surrounding area. The castle's guardian deity is enshrined in the first bailey at the summit, the remains of a well remain in the second bailey, and the remains of the third bailey remain to the south of the first bailey. This castle was called Chausuyama Castle because it resembles a mortar used to grind tea. It was located in an important location for trade and strategy, and it is said that it had forts and lookout towers at Takiyama in Takane, Miyazaki Castle in Miyahara, and Tawarazaki Castle in Shikatahara.
