The birthplace of Honinbo Shusaku, a genius Go player from Innoshima, Onomichi City, who was active during the Edo period, has been restored and valuable historical materials related to Shusaku are preserved and exhibited (the Go board on which Shusaku learned Go from his mother, a hanging scroll he painted when he was 16 years old, his certificate, etc.). In addition, a reproduction of the Yugen no Ma room from the time of the Nihon Ki-in is on display, as well as the Go board (4-sided square, 7.5 inches) and Go stones (36 size) on which Go Seigen played his retirement game at the age of 70.
