Valuable mountain castle ruins that show the transitional period of the castle from the Middle Ages to the early modern period
This is the remains of a mountain castle built in the Warring States period on the summit of Shiroyama mountain, 191 meters above sea level, and stone ramparts, cross arrows, and stone steps remain. In addition, two castle gates and one turret have been relocated to the grounds of Susanoo Shrine in Tode, Niiichi-cho. This castle is important as it shows the transitional period from medieval castles to early modern castles, and was designated a Hiroshima Prefecture historic site in 1995.
