This is the Umanori Kannon Hall, located at the summit of Umanoriyama, about 500m above sea level. This hall, which enshrines the Eleven-Headed Thousand-Armed Kannon, was built in 1041, and the Kannon's figure is only displayed to the public once every 50 years. It has long been known as the Kannon deity for safe childbirth and fertility. From here, you can also see the beautiful Seto Inland Sea and the Shikoku Mountains.
