The shrine was founded in the first year of Jiryaku (1065), near the Jinseki Kogen Town Hall. It is said that Yamashiro Province (now Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture) solicited the spirit of Iwashimizu Hachimangu, one of the three major Hachimangu shrines nationwide. The size of the main shrine is the largest among the shrines in the county, and in the precincts there is one natural monument "Tsuga" designated by Hiroshima Prefecture and one natural monument "Momi" designated by Jinseki Kogen Town. .. In addition, one votive tablet and one iron lantern have been designated as Important Cultural Properties by Jinseki Kogen Town.
