Walk along the ridge of the open grassland! Hike with views of the mountains and the Sea of Japan
At an elevation of 911.2m, this mountain is unusual in the Chugoku Mountains for its treeless grasslands at its base.
Picking wild vegetables, hiking, and the sight of the mountain covered in Japanese pampas grass in autumn are spectacular.
The summit offers a 360-degree view, with views of Mt. Daisen and the Sea of Japan in the distance.
Additionally, on the eastern slope of the peak, three or four remains of horizontal ditches from the iron hole sink remain.
Local volunteers burn the mountain every spring in an effort to maintain the landscape.
