Mount Hino, 705m above sea level, 300m from the base, is a typical large-scale mountain castle ruin in the late Middle Ages.

This is a large mountain castle built on the summit of Mt. Hino (705m above sea level, 300m above sea level), located south of the Oasa Shinjo Basin in Kitahiroshima Town. It was used as the main castle of the Aki Yoshikawa clan for about 40 years, from when Yoshikawa Motoharu entered the castle in 1550 (Tenbun 19) until his third son Hiroie moved his castle to Tomita Gassan Castle in Izumo in 1591 (Tensho 19). The castle is made up of nine groups of castle walls on the mountain, including the Honmaru, Shimogurimaru, Ninomaru, Sannomaru, Ohiroma no Dan, Himejimaru, Demaru, Nakagusuku, and Mukai-Nakagusuku. It overlooks the entire basin at the foot of the mountain and was located as a key transportation point connecting Yin and Yang.
