A temple that began as a sermon at the time of the start of the Kure municipal system
Sentokuji Temple, located in Nakadori, Kure City, started as a preaching hall built with the support of many people around the time Kure City was established in 1903. It was burned down in an air raid during the Pacific War, but was rebuilt after the war. In the Heisei era, a columbarium was added, and it has continued to exist to this day.
