Founded by Zen Master Daido. The tiled three-story pagoda is a rare piece of architectural history and a national treasure. In 1400, Ikuchi no Morihei welcomed Zen Master Daido, founder of Buttsu-ji Temple, and made him the founder of the temple. As a place of Zen training for Ikuchijima no Morihei, various halls were built and Kojoan, which can accommodate over 100 people, was constructed. The temple has faithfully followed the rules of Kojoji Temple and led a Zen lifestyle. At the beginning of the Edo period, the temple's lands were confiscated and it fell into ruin, but feeling the spirit of Kannon, Priest Sekibutsu sailed to the island and enshrined it in the Soto sect, where it remains to this day.
