High-quality residential building of the Taisho era built against the backdrop of salt farm management
This is a high-quality Taisho-era residential building (relocated around 1916) built against the backdrop of salt farming. In addition to the main house, the detached parlor, tea room, storehouse and other parts of the house remain intact. The tea room is said to have been designed by Fujian, a tea master of the Kobori Enshu school. This luxurious mansion was built on the site of Beach No. 1 at the Takehara Salt Fields, and is designated as an Important Cultural Property by Takehara City.
