Within the grounds, there is a bronze statue of Miura Senzaburo, the father of Hiroshima Toji and the perfection of the soft water brewing method. The current shrine building, rebuilt in 1907, is the work of palace carpenters Ueda Jisaku and Naoji, father and son, and is magnificent with its intricate carvings that are rare in shrine architecture. In addition to the statue of Miura Senzaburo, the father of Hiroshima Toji and the perfection of the soft water brewing method, within the grounds there is also a monument with a haiku about Hekigoto and a monument to Akinoshima Barrier. It was once listed as one of the Ten Views of the Kure Line.
