The temple bell was made by a master craftsman in the Horeki era, and is the grave of 34 feudal retainers of the Echigo Takada clan during the Second Choshu War.
The temple's bell was made in 1752 by Kanaya Genbei, a master craftsman who was the head representative of the Aki region's metalworking craftsmen. The temple also houses the graves of 34 Echigo Takada samurai who were defeated in the Second Choshu War.
