1st floor: An introduction to the Kitamae ships, the island's roots. Photographs of Kinoe from the Taisho to Showa periods, when it was known as the "Golden Island." A reproduction of the Makihada factory, which was the island's major industry. An introduction to modern-day Osakikamijima, the largest island in Japan. 2nd floor: A permanent photo exhibition by Setouchi photographer Murakami Koji. A display of books and materials from a local historian. 3rd floor: A steering experience room. An introduction to the islands' legends. The exterior of the museum is shaped like a ship, which is rare across the country.
