A scenic spot that represents a national park

This is the largest waterfall in Sandankyo and has been designated a Special Place of Scenic Beauty by the national government. Located about 200m downstream from Lake Hijiri, which is the dam bank, the waterfall is sandwiched between huge rocks called Tatami Rocks, and has five sections with three curves. The total height is about 31m, and the middle of the basin is 3.5m deep. In autumn, the scenery of the vibrant autumn leaves and the dynamic waterfall is beautiful, making it a spectacular spot.
