Old autumn leaves bridge
(Completed in 1985) A bright red bridge spanning Lake Shinryu, one of the famous spots of the Taishaku Gorge. Formerly known as Momiji Bridge (Langer Bridge), it is 84.0m long and 9.25m wide. It was relocated in December 1985 for preservation and utilization, and in November 2002, it was recognized as a civil engineering heritage site as it boasts the longest span of any simple truss bridge built before the war.
