It is now a park, and earthworks remain on the north side of the Ninomaru.
Many of the Numata Kobayakawa clan's clan sought a way out to sea. One of these was the castle of the Ura clan. It is located on a small hill jutting out into the sea at an important transportation location, 25 meters above sea level. Shoun-ji Temple, located to the north of the castle, houses items related to the Ura clan, who were the lords of the castle, including a portrait and grave of Ura Munekatsu. To the west of the castle ruins is a deep bay, which is said to have once been a boat dock.
