Mori Motonari's youngest son, Motonari (who later became a monk and became a priest), opened a Tendai sect temple, which later converted to Jodo Shinshu. During the Battle of Ishiyama in 1576, the weights attached to the flags used by the Mori forces to carry food are preserved here. The stone walls have "musha-gaeshi" (guards to protect against enemy attacks), and it is said that the temple was intended to be used as a castle in case of emergency. Founded in 1547. Time required: 10 minutes.
