A museum where you can experience the world of Toyo Ito, an architect who has won the Pritzker Prize and is active around the world
Toyo Ito is an architect active on the world stage, having received the Pritzker Architecture Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of the architectural world. At the museum, set amidst the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, you can learn about his career and worldview. The Steel Hut, which is made up of two buildings and has a sculptural silhouette, displays Ito's latest works as well as previous works. The other building, Silver Hut, which has been renovated from Ito's former home, is open to the public as a workshop and research space. There are also large architectural models scattered around the grounds, which you can explore.
