Yae Kangensai

The Yae Kangen Festival is a summer festival where three land boats, the Shinchi Maru, the Tokaichi Maru, and the Arita Maru, each with their own unique features, parade through the Yae Shopping Arcade. (Schedules for 2023 have yet to be decided.) The Kangen Festival, a tradition that has been passed down since ancient times on Miyajima in Aki, is recreated in Chiyoda, deep in the mountains. The boats rock up and down, creating an impressive sight, just like ships sailing on the sea. The event venues are divided into three locations: the Shinchi Venue, the Tokaichi Venue, and the Arita Venue, each with its own food and game stalls, and on the stage there are singing and dancing performances, bingo tournaments, raffles, and more.
