You can enjoy a magnificent view from the observation deck located in the plaza at the top of the mountain.
Elevation: 593m
The summit plaza of Egeyama Park features an observation deck and rest area, offering magnificent views.
The name Egeyama is said to originate from "Ege," meaning a monk training under a master.
Locally, the mountain on the map is called Egegashira, and the side with the TV tower is simply called Egeyama. Together with Hokkizan and Myojinzan, they are affectionately known as the "Yano Three Mountains."
Hokkizan, one of the Yano Three Mountains, contains the ruins of Yano Castle and Hokki Castle, associated with the Noma clan who ruled the eastern coast of Hiroshima Bay. The site also houses the Noma Shrine. The castle's tragic fall is intertwined with legends such as the "fireball" legend.
