You can enjoy a spectacular view from the observation deck set up in the park from the top of the mountain.
Elevation: 593m. At the summit, there is an observation deck and rest area at Egeyama Park, and the view from there is magnificent. The name Egeyama is said to come from "kaiga," which means a monk who trains under a master monk. Locals call Egeyama on the map Egegashira, and the side facing the TV tower Egeyama. Together with Hokkisan and Myojinsan, they are affectionately called "Yano Sanzan." Hokkisan, one of the Yano Sanzan, is home to the ruins of Yano Castle, which is associated with the Noma clan, who ruled over the eastern coast of Hiroshima Bay, and the ruins of Noma Shrine, and the tragic story of the fall of the castle includes the legend of the "fireball."
